There was a certain lightness to this shoot — the kind that feels unforced, flowing, and free. But behind that quiet ease was a production held together by thoughtful planning and an all-women-led team who moved with intuition and care.

Shot under the creative direction of Nikhil Mansata, the brief centred on movement, air, and the subtle rhythm of festive change. From the photographer and videographer to the movement director, the energy on set was collaborative — less instruction, more instinct. You could feel it in the way people listened, adjusted, and responded in sync.

Logistically, the day was anything but simple. We moved across rooftops and open spaces, each setup requiring groundwork—local permissions, safety checks, rooftop rigging, and ladder placements for that perfect kite shot. The frame may have looked effortless, but it was built on precision behind the scenes.

Kite flying became the shoot’s quiet thread — symbolic, playful, and celebratory. Watching the girls move freely in those airy Eka garments, framed against the Jaipur sky, felt just right. Off-camera, our crew kept time, ensured safety, and held the mood steady.

Like all good sets, this one had its comforts — Blue Tokai coffee, Maggi breaks, and the kind of energy that only comes from a team that’s fully aligned.

It’s a location we’ve returned to often. But on this day, with this team, it felt new again — lighter, softer, and held together by intention.
