ROCKERFELLER FOUNDATION
The brief took us deep into India, across Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, and Maharashtra, tracing the stories of two transformative initiatives: Araku Coffee and Eat Right India.
Both were grounded in sustainability and local empowerment, but each unfolded in its own rhythm. In Araku, we worked closely with tribal farming communities building a future around organic coffee. Our crew moved through quiet fields and forested slopes, documenting the pride, process, and collective progress that defined the region’s story. Production meant staying nimble, respecting the land, and letting the environment lead. Eat Right India shifted the focus to bustling kitchens, local markets, and urban homes—revealing how safe, nutritious food is finding its way into everyday Indian life. Each location called for a new approach, and we adapted in real-time—balancing efficiency with empathy. Multiple states, tight timelines, language shifts, and terrain challenges made this a logistically complex project. But with careful planning, a lean crew, and shared intent, every frame found its place.
